Do

  • Only carry out any maintenance in line with the manufacturer handbook / recommendations.

  • Switch off and isolate the crane.

  • Wear PPE at all times when handling of any grease/lubricants in line with COSHH assessment

    / safety data sheet.

  • Only operate the crane if you are trained and competent to achieve the correct position of each component.

  • Use MEWP where needed.

  • Ensure that any POL used is done so in line with the safety data sheet provided.

Do Not

Carry out any maintenance when crane is running.

Climb outside any designated walkways of the crane.

Specific Training Requirements:

  • Basic Training - through an accredited training provider training to the standards outlined in the L117 ACOP.

  • Specific job training - tailored to the needs of the organisation.

  • Familiarisation training - Familiarisation training is the third stage of training, which should be carried out on the job, under close supervision, by someone with

appropriate knowledge.
